Answer Possibilities
I try to limit the realm of possibilities to only a few answers, but since it isn’t multiple choice, there will always be other possibilities. If you come up with a different answer, and want to know if this is also a correct, leave a comment below.
Scoring Yourself
1. Each question is worth 1 base point.
2. When a question has multiple blanks or kanji, each blank or kanji is worth a fraction of a point (ex. .50, .33, .25, .20, etc).
3. In “Writing” and “Listening,” if there is kanji in the blank(s), and you can write them all out, add 0.25 bonus points (give yourself 1.25 points total)
Passing score for Round 3: Jalup Beginner User: 6, Jalup Intermediate User: 6.5, Jalup Advanced User: 7

These tests are really nice, keep up the good work.
Thanks! Snisaさんなら百点満点でしょ!
I answered question 4 as 「後は店でテレビゲームを買いに行きます」
I really don’t know what’s wrong with it (especially the 後は bit, as I’m pretty sure I’ve heard it before). Also, I thought I should use the で particle indicating the location of 買う, instead of using に to indicate the direction of 行く, as the later already has the に from 買いに. That is, the sentence 店でテレビゲームを買う would become 店でテレビゲームを買いに行く.
Is this a possibility?
“後は” is a possibility depending on context (it would be used when you did something else, and then are saying “as for later” or “as for after (that)”
The action of “going to buy” is directed towards the store, so 店に is most natural, and 店で would require a bit of a different sentence structure to sound good.
A good way to check when you are confused on particles is try using them in a sentence on Google, in quotes, and see which brings more results.
This sentence doesn’t bring back many results for either, but similar sentences show the difference.
“本屋に本を買いに行った”
Vs
“本屋で本を買いに行った”
Thanks for the explanation ^^
I pretty happy I got an 8.5 I missed the writing. My writing stinks even in English XD. It makes me feel good that I am some-what Advance!!!
That’s a fine score. Writing will be the hardest part of these tests, followed by speaking, listening, and the easiest being reading.
For 4, I thought of 後ろの店, mainly because I just learned that construction in Lang-8, hah. If all you have is a hammer…
That would work. It’s a different approach, but sounds fine.
for 5 can i put 游びます because they are playing tennis
遊ぶ has a bit of a different nuance than the English play. If you wanted to use 遊ぶ in this context it’s better to have something like テニスをして遊ぶ.
