5 Japanese Phrases Guaranteed To Annoy People
Sometimes annoying people in your own language isn’t enough. You have to expand your reach. Well you are in luck. There are certain Japanese phrases that do just that. Using once in a while isn’t a big deal, but when you start to use them too much… watch out. Time to make some friends… And then lose them. Be sure to try these out immediately.

This is a patronizing way to show your understanding.
4. 要(よう)するに: So what I’m (you’re) really saying is…
Too direct in telling that what you are about to say is important.

Often used when there is no need to contrast.
2. どうでもいい: Whatever/Doesn’t matter
Shows you don’t care.
1. はいはい: Yeah yeah/I got it
Shows you don’t need to be told something. You already got it.

はいはい is annoying? I guess it depends on how it’s used. Now that I think of it, one anime character kept saying that and it was pretty annoying.

英語の「Put simply…」や「In short…」と近い意味だと思います。相手の言ったことの要点を確認したい場合、使い方は「つまり」と大体同じです。
でも自分の言うことを強めるために使う場合は、それから長い話にしまえば相手をイライラさせる恐れがあります。

確かに、英語で誰かが「In short…」と言ってからすっごく長い話をすれば、あなたも「If this is short, I’d hate to hear the long version」とか思いながらイライラしないのでしょうか。
