Don’t Avoid Using the English Found in Japanese — 6 Comments

    • I can’t speak for all English speaking countries (or even all regions of one country), but where I’m from in the U.S. we pronounce blog (ブログ) as b-lah-g.

      Which is why the ロ sound ends up becoming a lah sound.

    • It’s really surprising how different English dialects are.

      As an English as a Second Language teacher, I always have to explain why the way I talk is different than the way the dictionary pronounces things.

      • This is so true, and even more reason why it’s key to use the Japanese pronunciation when talking in Japanese.
