Jalup App – Notes Feature and Jalup Champion — 8 Comments

  1. Amazing!!! I have been really excited for notes so I can add my own mnemonics. Thanks so much Adam. This came faster than I expected and from the screenshots it seems like a really flexible implementation. Excited to update my cards asap

    • I know you had been waiting a long time, so I’m glad I could finally release it. It took a while to get it to work easily from learning or reviews, but I think it’ll be a big addition to the app :)

      • I have been using it like crazy, no issues that I have seen. Finding it very easy to use, easy to add/update, and displays exactly as I was hoping. In short perfect implementation. Thanks again

  2. With the marrying thing, you wouldn’t really be able to take their last name any more than you could registering a 通称名 — as that is actually what you would end up doing. If you go all the way to make it your name , you can 帰化する, in which case you are free to choose your name anyway.

    すみません。名前にこだわるから書こうかと思いました。

  3. I wish there will be option for even longer intervals, something like equivalent of Anki’s 350-500% interval modifier, because when you learn a lot of cards everyday, you will(I) need to look up words in definition anyway(look up=rep) (branching in intermediate+ decks is awesome) so there will be less unnecessary, painful reps.

    • Thanks for the feedback. I’ll add it to the suggestion list and will probably add additional Interval Timing settings in the future.

  4. Thank you for bringing the Listening function to Android!
Would it be possible in a future update to select which sentences to use for immersion? Let´s say I would like to listen just to the last 10., 20, 30 sentences that I have learned recently.
    Love the app.

    • Glad you are enjoying it.

It’s possible in the future. I’ll consider it if I make any updates to the immersion player. Thanks for the suggestion.
