Japanese Level Up may be referred to as “Jalup,” “our site,” “we,” and “us” in this privacy policy. Personal information we collect from the people that visit 

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address or other details to help you with your experience.

1. When we collect information

We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, fill out a form, leave a comment, or enter information on our site.

2. Comments

When visitors leave comments on Jalup, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

3. Contact form, Write for Jalup, Join our Line Chat

When sending a message through one of these 3 contact forms, your name, e-mail, subject, message, other fields and IP address are all recorded. Your IP address and other data submitted in these form is analyzed for spam protection.

4. Wakarukana Submission

For spam protection, your IP address is recorded when you submit a quiz.

5. Jalup E-mail Newsletter

If you register your e-mail address to receive new post updates, we keep track of your email address, which will only be used for sending you those new posts.

6. Jalup (iOS), 30toWin (iOS)

Analytics, usage, and crash data is recorded in order to improve upon the app.

Use of ‘cookies’

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username or email). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following:

1. Users can visit our site anonymously.
2. Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our home page or as a minimum, on the first significant page after entering our website.
3. Our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can easily be found on the page specified above.

How our site handles Do Not Track signals

We honor Do Not Track signals and Do Not Track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place.

Children’s Privacy

Use of our sites and product is limited to those persons who are at least thirteen (13) years of age.
